I love this! For this year to improve my writing I'll be journaling and writing in my planner. Hopefully once I build that habit and improve, I can move on to writing stories. Can't wait to read what t you write and see how your plans pan out!
This is a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing. I have done something close with Japanese and even post it here on substack. Not as long or serious as an actual novel.
Obrigado! and definitely. It's all an experiment for me so you will see my notes at the end of each chapter. thanks for asking, I actually forgot to outline that. :)
Yes, I will share an edited version at the end of each month (I'm sure you don't want to see my bad handwriting lol) as well as some notes because I love to document my process and observations.
Cool idea! Looking forward to reading it. (I read French at B1, mostly graphic novels). I’m also writing a novel in Dutch at A2-B1. I’m really into bespoke, level-appropriate content for language learners.
Hello community! Please ping me by direct message if you would like a link to preview my A1-B2 Dutch learners novel. It is an audiobook with transcript and English translation.
That's an amazing and very concrete project! I cannot wait to see how it evolves during the year and what are the biggest challenges and wins. And of course, I'll be glad to help ;-). I would suggest though that you also post your texts on www.journaly.com, which is a great website to get feedbacks on texts/writing. The correction function there is great and really helps to see what was wrong and to ask back questions if necessary. I'm sure you will get helpful feedback there too!
What an amazing, ambitious, refreshing idea!! I love it! Keeping my fingers crossed for you! And let's see if I can follow with my high-school French and my Italian :))

Merci Victoria. I love that you want to join in. I will naturally keep everyone informed.
What a beautiful plan! Hopefully the book will quickly be translated to English for my woefully monolingual self!
Oh yes, it could be translated in English. But I don't know if it will be a good read... but I will try my test. Merci beaucoup!
If you stick to your 2026 plan, I will translate your novel in Mandarin and Italian. In 2027 or 2028:)
Now that you've gone ahead and said it, you cant take it back...now I really need to make it good. haha
